As new members from the community emerge, taking an interest to be on the policy team, they can be added if the DAO deems them to be valuable. One way to prove value to the DAO would be to independently review and contribute to the publicly disclosed reports.

A very good idea. The policy team is expected to release reports containing their research and logic chain for arriving at the system parameters. These reports will be publicly disclosed. A townhall can be held periodically to discuss these reports.
